Founded in 1992 in the renowned textile district of Biella, Lanerie Grosber was established by Giovanni Berzero, Giorgio Erbea and Mario Grosso. The name “Grosber” itself is a fusion of their surnames. From the very beginning, the company made its mark in the production of fine fabrics for high-end women’s fashion. Success came quickly. Just three years later, the company moved its production site to Borgosesia, in the heart of a territory deeply connected to textile excellence.

Lanerie Grosber specializes in luxurious Italian fabrics designed for high-end womenswear, with a particular expertise in tweed, bouclé, jacquard, double-face fabrics, crepe, and fine combed wool textiles. The mill is known for combining refined yarns such as wool, mohair, alpaca, angora, cotton, linen, and viscose to create richly textured fabrics with depth, structure, and elegance.

Lanerie Grosber places a strong emphasis on sustainability, traceability, and responsible Italian textile production. Their production facility in Serravalle Sesia is powered entirely by solar energy.

Iben Bergstrøm is the founder of Color Vision and a third generation textile expert. her great grandmother was a dressmaker, her grandfather a textile engineer, her mother a textile artist. she writes from that inheritance, on fabric, craft, and the quiet knowledge passed down through three generations of hands.
